InfiniSites Tutorial: How to Add a Newsletter Subscription Form

We actually have 2 slightly different subscription form modules to choose from. The first module is the fastest and easiest way to add a subscribe button to your website and is located in the Standard Modules. The second is located in the InfiniBuilder Modules and is also very easy. It just has a few more options and gives you more control over the look of your form.

The Standard Module

The fast and easy way

  1. First, login to your website and navigate to the page you want to add the subscribe button to.
  2. Edit the page using InfiniBuilder, and drag the subscribe form module from Standard Modules onto the page.
  3. Choose your email marketing service (we use MailChimp) and select the list you’re adding users to. If this is your first time using the module, you will need to connect your account, usually through an API key.
  4. You also have the ability to show or hide following fields:
    • the name field
    • the terms and conditions checkbox
  5. Add a confirmation message to let users know they’ve successfully subscribed. Alternatively, you can redirect successful submissions to another page or directly to a PDF download. If you’d like to use the PDF download method, take a look at the first part of this article to see how to copy a file’s URL from the media library.
  6. If needed, you can change the look of the button in Button tab.
  7. Finally, save and publish your changes.

The InfiniBuilder Module

For a little more control

  1. First, login to your website and navigate to the page you want to add the subscribe button to.
  2. Edit the page using InfiniBuilder, and drag the subscription form module from InfiniBuilder Modules onto the page.
  3. Choose your email marketing service and select the list you’re adding users to. If this is your first time using the module, you will need to connect your account, usually through an API key.
  4. Add headings to the form, if needed.
  5. You also have the ability to show or hide following fields:
    • the first name field
    • the last name field
    • a description (bottom text)
    • the terms and conditions checkbox
  6. Add a confirmation message to let users know they’ve successfully subscribed. Alternatively, you can redirect successful submissions to another page or directly to a PDF download. If you’d like to use the PDF download method, take a look at the first part of this article to see how to copy a file’s URL from the media library.
  7. Set your design and layout options in the Style and Button tabs.
  8. If you want to change the size of any text in the form, use the Typography tab. This module gives you control over all the text size and style in the form, but because the control is so granular it’s easy to get lost in this tab.
  9. Finally, save and publish your changes.
